After spending eighteen months quietly writing in an isolated cabin upstate, indie-pop sensation Lyra Vance has officially broken her silence. Today, she announced her highly anticipated sophomore studio album, Echoes of Tomorrow, slated for a global release this coming winter.
The announcement arrives alongside a striking minimalist album artwork reveal, signaling a bold sonic evolution from the bedroom-pop textures of her debut record.
A Sonic Evolution
According to Vance, the new 12-track project is her most vulnerable body of work to date. While her debut captured the dizzying highs of youth, Echoes of Tomorrow dives deep into the complex realities of growth, transition, and letting go.
Listeners can expect a more expansive instrumental palette. The record leans heavily into analog synthesizers, live string arrangements, and her signature haunting vocal harmonies.
"I wanted this record to feel like the space between midnight and dawn," Vance shared in an exclusive statement. "It’s about the thoughts you can only admit to yourself when the rest of the world is completely asleep."
Production and Collaborators
To bring this vision to life, Vance partnered with Grammy-nominated producer Marcus Thorne, known for his atmospheric work with leading indie-folk and electronic acts. The album was tracked entirely on vintage tape machines, giving the songs an undeniable warmth and intimacy that mirrors her raw lyricism.
The lead single from the album is scheduled to hit all major streaming platforms next Friday, accompanied by a limited-edition merchandise capsule pre-order.
